Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Unrest continues in Dinhata ahead of panchayat elections. This time the Trinamool Congress has been accused of throwing bombs at the BJP candidate's house.
Regarding this, on Friday, BJP workers protested by jamming the Dinhata-Cooch Behar State Highway. The incident took place last night in Mahakaldham village of Dinhata-1 number Gram Panchayat Bhetaguri-2.
BJP candidate Rita Burman said that some miscreants supported by Trinamool came to her last night. They were intimidated. After this, threw the bomb and went away.
However, Trinamool's regional president Sunil Rai Sarkar has termed the allegation as baseless. He said that this incident is a mutual dispute between the BJP.
On the other hand, the police of Dinhata police station have started investigating the whole incident.
